Celebrating the wide world of ultrasound
Medical Ultrasound Awareness Month (MUAM) takes place in October each year. It's an opportunity to educate the public about medical ultrasound and raise the profile of sonographers in patient care.
Sonographers are highly skilled experts in ultrasound scanning, interpretation and diagnosis. They work across a wide range of areas from pregnancy scanning and newborn babies to abdominal, cardiology and gynaecology, veins and arteries, muscles and tendons, lumps and bumps and so much more.
