Published: 09 May 2024 Awards

The Chief Allied Health Professions Officer Awards 2024 has opened nominations this week, providing a unique opportunity for registered AHPs to be recognised for their delivery of exceptional care.

The awards, awarded by NHS England, promote adoption and dissemination of good practice being delivered by nominated AHPs and grant teams a chance to review their work and the impact they have made to services.

Entries are open to all 14 Allied Health Professions and are for NHS or publicly-funded initiatives and projects.

'Unsung heroes'

Sue Johnson, professional officer for clinical imaging at the SoR, said: “Radiographers don't always recognise their role in public health. Many unsung heroes are working hard to reduce radiation doses, improve access for hard-to-reach populations, encourage the uptake of screening services, and manage our resource-intensive services sustainably.”
