Eastern Region managers' day hailed a success

A small yet select group attended the second Eastern Region managers' day at Providence Square on Friday 6 November.
The morning session was led by Andrew McDonald, deputy director of commissioning and development with NHS Suffolk, who provided a useful insight into the brave new world of commissioning in the NHS.
After lunch, Ethna Glean from the UK Accreditation Service (UKAS) guided delegates through the process of the new imaging services accreditation scheme, and the day was rounded off with a thought-provoking talk by SoR regional officer Paul Bromley on the new independent Safeguarding Authority.
Chair of the Eastern Region Paul Newman said the day was extremely valuable, with positive feedback from the delegates about the speakers. "It also had the added bonus of providing a day outo f the office with a chance to network with other management colleagues in the region," he commented.
Paul added: "A third day is definitely on the agenda for spring next year and we're asking managers in the region to keep an eye on Synergy News and their inbox for the date.
If anyone has any ideas for topics and speakers, please email Paul directly.
