National Cardiac Special Interest Group

A network for radiographers to easily ask advice and share good practice with colleagues in other local centres related to cardiac imaging

Join the National Cardiac SIG

Purpose and aims

The purpose of this group is to provide support and encouragement for radiographers undertaking cardiac imaging. This groups was created in order to provide an online forum for Cardiac Imaging Radiographers to share knowledge and experience, and be able to ask for advice.

We aim to create a space where radiographers can share good practice with colleagues in other local centres related to cardiac imaging (all modalities). Share education opportunities. Possibly in the future, to arrange meetings and our own study events. Potentially offer UK wide once established and if found to be useful.

Through member engagement we also aim to improve communication, autonomy and morale of staff. Regarding learning & Development, we'll share educational opportunities with members with aims to improve patient care by ensuring best practices are used.
