NIRAD websiteThe Nigerian Radiographers in Diaspora (NIRAD) is a professional organisation that represents Nigerian-born and Nigerian-trained radiographers who are currently practising in the United Kingdom and the Republic of Ireland.
The organisation is open to radiographers in active clinic imaging practice, academia, healthcare research, healthcare business, radiotherapy and oncology.

Read hereWe undertake exclusively charitable, educational, scientific and research activities that seek to promote the public’s welfare and, in particular, but not exclusively, Nigerian people living in the United Kingdom.
We do this by associating together such people and the local UK professional and social authorities and other charitable organisations in a joint effort to relieve poverty and sickness, advance education, and provide facilities for recreation and other leisure-time occupations with the object of improving the conditions of life of the people.
We strive to promote continuous education and professional development opportunities amongst NIRAD members.
Strengthen networking and mentorship programs for Nigerian Radiographers in the UK/ROI.
NIRAD is committed to promoting and advancing the professional, educational, public, and workplace interests of its members.
NIRAD members have in the past made donations to department of radiography at the University of Nigeria Nsukka, University of Lagos as well as the upcoming department of radiography at the University of Benin Edo State in Nigeria.
NIRAD undertakes a monthly educational exercise for its members through its Academic Paper Review Group Meeting. Individual members of NIRAD are also involved in one type of post graduate educational activity or the other.
