        Pelvic Radiation Disease Association

        The Pelvic Radiation Disease Association (PRDA) is a patient support charity for people affected by long term impacts of pelvic radiotherapy. In addition, PRDA aims to raise awareness of PRD within professional groups and bring together current evidence/research on the management of symptoms. The charity produced the Pelvic Radiation Disease Best Practice Pathway in 2022 to support clinical management of late effects of pelvic radiotherapy and to encourage service development.

        Radiotherapy UK

        Radiotherapy UK is the only charity dedicated to improving radiotherapy treatment throughout the UK. We believe that everyone in the country – no matter who they are or where they live – should have access to the best radiotherapy treatment available. We campaign for a world class radiotherapy service and solutions to the cancer backlog (#CatchupwithCancer), we support and provide information and education to patients and the workforce. A total of 1 in 2 of us will get cancer, and 1 in 4 of us will need radiotherapy at some point in our lives. Every four weeks delay in treatment reduces survival rate by 6-13% – that's why our work to ensure people receive this vital cancer treatment is critical.

          RadResearch - NIHR Supported Incubator for Diagnostic and Therapeutic Radiographers

          The NIHR-supported Incubator for Diagnostic and Therapeutic Radiographers aims to stimulate, inspire and guide radiographers to engage in and lead research projects. It will do this by identifying barriers to engaging in research, highlighting best practice and creating a radiographer-specific programme of research development opportunities, along with creating a national community of radiographers interested in research. We are keen to engage with radiographers from all stages and specialties. Please visit the team at the Incubator stand to discuss how we can help develop your interest in research and/or academic research career.

            The College of Radiographers promotes the science and practice of radiotherapy and clinical imaging for the benefit of all. We do this by developing the highest standards for education and practice, promoting and conducting research and by listening to patients and service users.
