Download PDFThe Society and College of Radiographers (SCoR) have worked with the British Medical Ultrasound Society (BMUS) to update the SCoR and BMUS 'Guidelines for Professional Ultrasound Practice'. Originally we had planned to undertake a major revision of the document, but the pandemic impacted on the time all our volunteers could input into authoring sections. We hope to start this work in the early new year and welcome any feedback you might have.
In this edition there are updates to the bowel section, details about the move from the Public Voluntary Register (PVRS) to the Register of Clinical Technologists and equipment decontamination. Links to updated policy and guidance documents have been included and relevant sections have links to the e-learning for health care image interpretation module and/or the BMUS incidental findings document. We hope this helps ultrasound practitioners to find additional continuing development resources to explore the clinical topics further. Where possible, new additions have been highlighted with the year [2020]within the text. For SCoR members reviewing updated guidelines, e-learning for health modules or additional resources referred to within this document can be recorded as evidence in CPDNow.
