The European Federation of Radiographer Societies (EFRS) has created a free radiation protection webinar series to compensate for the educational events that have been cancelled.
In collaboration with the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) and EuroSafe Imaging, the series will be ‘an additional tool to improve the knowledge, skills, and competences of radiographers.’
The first are:
- Radiation Protection in Computed Tomography (5 episodes)
- Radiation Protection in Radiotherapy (5 episodes)
“As well as engaging with these webinars 'live', there will also be the possibility of engaging with them at a later stage for colleagues who have clinical and other commitments,” said Jonathan McNulty, EFRS president.
“We look forward to welcoming as many radiographers as possible.”
Episode one will commence on 31 March and all sessions will begin at 7pm (GMT). The full schedule is available to download, here.
Charlotte Beardmore, EFRS vice-president and the Society’s director of professional policy will be chairing the radiotherapy sessions, which begin on 30 April.
Certificates of participation will be issued.
