A library of resources to help local education providers to offer safe and effective face-to-face or remote simulation-based education (SBE) is to be created by Health Education England (HEE) and the Association of Simulated Practice in Healthcare (ASPiH).
HEE’s technology enhanced learning team and ASPiH, a not-for-profit membership association for professionals from healthcare, education and patient safety backgrounds, are requesting that anyone who has building experience and expertise in immersive technology to enhance simulation-based learning to get in touch.
SBE is well established in radiography as a way to support and facilitate student learning.
The library of resources initiative known as #SimRestart is part of a three stage strategy for the safe use of simulation in healthcare.
It began with the COVID-19 toolkit for safe simulation in health and care, and the second stage was guidance issued that developed ideas introduced by the toolkit in National guidance for safe delivery of simulation-based education (SBE).
