The PCI’s flagship free online conference – The Multimorbidity Challenge: A Personalised Care Approach – is coming soon

The Personalised Care Institute’s flagship online conference will take place on Thursday 26 September, with free attendance.

Along with the conference, sponsorship from the Royal College of General Practitioners (RCGP) has allowed for the programme of events taking place in the second annual Personalised Care Week, between 23-26 September, to be free to attend.

Personalised Care Week is a four-day event headlined by online conference the Multimorbidity Challenge: A Personalised Care Approach, and will feature webinars, videos and educational activities.

Initiatives, research and practical examples'

Multimorbidity Challenge: A Personalised Care Approach will begin at 9am on 26 Septemberand end at 2pm, exploring the latest initiatives, research and practical examples on using personalised care approaches to support people with multiple long-term conditions.

Featuring a keynote address from former chair of the National Institute of Care Excellence and former president and chair of the RCGP,Sir David Haslam, the conference will also host sessions by leading academics and people with lived experience.

Sessions will cover important topics including hospital admission, health and ethnic inequalities, healthy ageing, and give practical examples on using personalised care approaches to support people with multiple long-term conditions.

Multimorbidity and personalised care

Attendees will learn about the role of co-production and see examples from clinical practice, alongside a showcase of posters focusing on multimorbidity and personalised care.

  • Transforming care for people living with MLTC in hospitals – meeting the challenge through the ADMISSION research collaborative, by Professor Miles Witham
  • Patients – The New Workforce, by David Gilbert
  • The role of health psychology and new models of care in the Multimorbidity challenge, by Dr Chloe Stewart

Live attendance for these events is free, but access to on-demand recordings of all sessions will only be available through the PCI Plus subscription package, available for a one-off fee of £60.

This package grants access to 20 hours of CPD education until March 31 2025.
