@WeAHPs on Twitter is being taken over by radiography and other allied health students for a week from 8 October to highlight the benefits of the professional use of social media.
Sarah Bradder, a therapeutic radiography student at Sheffield Hallam University, explained, “The week will include discussions to help build a supportive network where students can learn and share ideas as well as ask questions to existing students and professionals.
“The other topics will include balancing placement and academic work, well-being/self-care, leadership, networking, taking advantage of opportunities and looking at what it means to be an allied health professional, which is especially important in the run-up to AHP’s Day the following Monday, 15 October,” Sarah continued.
The week on Twitter will also be used as an opportunity to promote the HCPC’s social media guidance.
Sarah encourages members to follow @WeAHPS on Twitter and to join the conversation using the #WeStudentAHPs hashtag. You can follow Sarah @SarahBradder
