To ensure that radiography is strongly represented in a Health Education England project designed to understand more about the working practices and conditions of advanced clinical practitioners/trainee advanced clinical practitioners in England, SCoR members working in advanced clinical practice or ACP training roles are encouraged to complete a survey as part of this important research.
Undertaken by London South Bank University (LSBU), this research will also study how the advanced clinical practitioner role has evolved and been implemented since the ACP framework was developed and rolled out in 2017.
Professor Alison Leary, Chair of Healthcare & Workforce Modelling, LSBU, is building a conceptual model of enhanced practice for HEE and hoping to learn from the ACP work.
“So far over 500 responses have been received - which is great news! However, a large proportion of responses are from our nursing and paramedic colleagues and only a few AHPs have completed. It would be great to get a bit more diversity and to have radiography well represented,” she said.
LSBU is working with HEE to model enhanced practice and evaluating how ACP has developed, in order to develop a model for larger parts of the workforce. It is important to know what has worked well and what could be improved.
The survey should take around 15 minutes to complete and is anonymous.
