You can now make a nomination for the National Teaching Fellowship Scheme (NTFS) which rewards 55 individuals who are judged to make an outstanding impact on the student learning experience with £5000.

NTFS celebrates excellent practice and outstanding achievement in learning and teaching in higher education.

The awards support individuals’ professional development in learning and teaching, and the awards are presented at a prestigious ceremony, attracting national and regional media interest.

The Higher Education Academy manages NTFS on behalf of the funders – the Higher Education Funding Council for England, the Higher Education Funding Council for Wales, and the Department for the Economy (DfE) Northern Ireland.

Nominations to NTFS are sent from your institution; it is not an individual submission.

Eligible institutions are invited to nominate up to three individual members of staff who clearly demonstrate excellence in teaching and/or supporting the higher education learning experience of students

Each NTF will be expected to use the £5000 prize money to disseminate their excellent practice and to be able to demonstrate how their work has impacted on the sector.

Nominees will be informed of the outcomes in December 2016 and the National Teaching Fellowships will be awarded at an event in early 2017.

The deadline for nominations is 12pm on 28 July 2016.
