NICE has published the final scope and equality impact assessment for its new guideline on the delivery and organisation of diagnostic services.
Stakeholder feedback to the consultation, which took place at the end of last year, has also been published, including comments from Society of Radiographers members.
You can read the full scope of the guideline on the NICE website here.
The feedback from the SoR is published on page 70 of this document.
Rachel Harris, Professional and Education Manager at the SoR, emphasised the importance of members to reply to consultations such as this.
She said: “This is a particularly pertinent guideline for radiography and our members need to read it and be aware of the content.
“The Society sent in comments from our members in response to the consultation phase which were well received and prompted amendments to the documents, so many thanks to everyone who sent them in.
"When NICE documents are at the consultation phase, it’s crucial as many members send in comments as possible to make sure that our voice is heard.”
The final guideline is slated for publication in November 2017.
