The IPEM paediatric optimisation working party has extended the deadline for the paediatric CT dose audit.
The call for data will now remain open until 31 December 2019.
The working party says that respondents have contacted them to say that data is being collected, but the collection is taking time because it involves weighing patients.
If your organisation has not yet started, the working party emphasises the extension means it is not too late to begin.
Weight information isn’t mandatory for head examinations, but it is for examinations of the body.
Clinical colleagues may have access to a system which has the patient weight recorded. Paediatric patients are routinely weighed for calculating drug doses, for example.
