The SCoR and Alliance Medical have struck a Recognition Agreement which will see the two organisations collaborate on matters ranging from employment issues, education and health & safety.
Richard Evans, Society CEO and Pete Winchester, HR Director at Alliance Medical, signed the agreement at a ceremony taking place at the UKRCO congress in Manchester last month.
Richard commented on the agreement saying, “This agreement is the culmination of a lot of hard work at both Alliance Medical and at the SoR, brought about as a result of active members expressing their desire to work with their employer constructively in partnership.”
Pete Winchester commented, “Over recent years, Alliance Medical and the Society & College of Radiographers have worked closely together on a variety of matters, ranging from employment issues, education, development and health & safety.
“As the representative body for our clinical colleagues, they are able to provide professional advice, guidance and support in these and other areas.
“The Recognition Agreement will not only ensure that our clinical teams will be appropriately represented, it will also strengthen our overall approach to employee engagement as the Society brings its experience and knowledge to our existing Employee Forum and other employment related initiatives.”
