SoR members in England are being encouraged to share their messages with the health secretary, Matt Hancock, to make him understand the importance of investing more into NHS cancer staff.
Cancer Research UK are campaigning to ensure Matt Hancock prioritises the NHS workforce and wants as many people as possible, including health professionals, to tell him to “stand shoulder to shoulder with the NHS by training and employing more cancer staff.”
By 2028, the Prime Minister wants 3 in 4 cancer patients to be diagnosed early, which could lead to 55,000 more people surviving cancer.
Cancer Research UK will be delivering messages to the health secretary ahead of the upcoming government plan on what the NHS will deliver in the next 10 years.
