Canterbury Christ Church University staff and students welcomed Steve Herring, SCoR President, to present the Agfa Healthcare Student of the Year prize to Gemma Bennett a Diagnostic Radiography student from the university’s Canterbury campus, who graduated in July 2016.
The prize is kindly supported by Agfa Healthcare and consists of a framed certificate and £50 of bonus bond vouchers.
The teaching team chose Gemma as a worthy recipient of the prize due to her excellent academic achievements and her exemplary work as the student rep. It was felt she gave above and beyond for her peers, the university and teaching team, and the profession.
Gemma is now enjoying her first post at Queen Elizabeth Queen Mother Hospital in Margate, in particular the opportunity to get fully involved in general radiography. Canterbury Christ Church would like to wish her well in her future career.
