This year the United Kingdom Radiological Congress (UKRC), together with UK Radiology and Oncology (UKRO), will be the largest and only truly multidisciplinary congress that recognises the knowledge, skills and contribution of all professional groups and industry within diagnostic imaging and radiation therapy.
In its 15th year, UKRC continues to go from strength-to-strength.
In 2015, more than 3000 delegates, speakers and industry representatives attended, ensuring the event provided fantastic opportunities to find out about new techniques and technologies and network with colleagues.
This year, UKRC is being hosted at the ACC in Liverpool 6-8 June; a fantastic venue next to Albert Dock with plenty of good value hotels, restaurants and entertainment close by.

What do I get for my free day visitor ticket?
You can register to attend the industry exhibition for free and speak to the manufacturers about about their latest equipment, and benefit from the Education on the Stands opportunities.
Your free exhibition ticket also allows entrance to:
- Poster exhibition (paper and electronic) where over 300 posters are available to review and inform your CPD
- Keynote lectures include the opening plenary delivered by Professor Alistair Burns, national clinical director for dementia, and Professor Iain Lyburn, radiologist, who will discuss thechallenge of dementia and the implications of imaging for early diagnosis. It also includes the debate and keynote lectures sponsored by SCoR, IPEM and BIR
- UKRO highlights include Professor Jane Maher, joint chief medical director at Macmillan Cancer Support who will deliver the SCoR Wellbeck Memorial Lecture on Monday 6 June. Her presentation is entitled ‘Technology and talking - the modern radiographer’
- Cally Palmer, national cancer director, NHS England, will be speaking on Wednesday 8 June
- Admission to open education sessions including the ‘understanding dementia’ session on day one and a session on ‘sports medicine at the Rugby World Cup’ on day three, as well as some proffered paper oral sessions
- Admission to discussion zone events which in the past have included opportunities to meet with journal editors to discuss publication processes, join in the Twitter journal club and try out interactive technologies.

What do I get for for a full conference pass?
A one day, two day or full conference pass will give you access to all of the above, plus the opportunity to attend lectures, seminars and interactive sessions led by experts in the field.
The cost varies according to professional group and this year, we have introduced a new flexi pass for departments who want to share the tickets among different staff members.
The price includes a hot buffet lunch each day and a conference bag to store all your information.
With over 100 education sessions planned, ranging from those focused on developing early career skills, service delivery and management, through to those bringing expert insights into specialist areas of clinical imaging such as neuro, interventional, musculoskeletal and paediatrics (and many more), there are sessions suitable for every interest and level of experience.
