The Young Investigator 2018 award has been won by Nour Alsafi, a student at City, University of London after winning over a panel of judges with her research, oral presentation and Q&A session.
Nour presented her #UltrasoundEd research project alongside four other young investigators and went on to win the top prize.
Her passion for ultrasound and ultrasound education was portrayed through the research, which she believes helped her to win the prize.
Nour received an all-expenses-paid invitation to represent the British Medical Ultrasound Society at EUROSON 2019, with the opportunity to win the title of ‘European Young Investigator’ and a share of the €3000 prize.
She aims to make ultrasound education on social media easily accessible by promoting the use of a standardised hashtag: #UltrasoundEd.
Nour commented, “I was very pleased and excited to be given the opportunity to represent BMUS and my research at the Euroson Congress 2019. It would be a great platform to continue promoting the hashtag.”
