The CoRIPS Knowledge Hub provides information on securing research grant funding and how to become a partner

The College of Radiographers Industry Partnership Scheme Knowledge Hub has now officially launched, providing a central resource for members to find out more about research opportunities.

Research grants provided through the College of Radiographers Industry Partnership Scheme (CORIPS) support projects related to any aspect of the science and practice of radiography.

This hub site provides the latest news and information from CoRIPS researchers, as well as essential industry updates from CoRIPS partners.

'A sense of shared purpose'

Richard Evans, CEO of the SoR, said: “The College of Radiographers Industry Partnership Scheme (CoRIPS) has enabled financial support for radiography research projects for over fifteen years. In that time hundreds of projects from novice researchers, students and right up to doctoral level have been supported for SoR members.

“The effect has been to transform the research profile of our profession and enable the ambitious College Research strategic programmes. We are always grateful for the vision and support of those companies that choose to join the partnership. It is good to celebrate the sense of shared purpose, based on better services for patients that this partnership represents.

“I believe the CoRIPS is one of the most innovative and worthwhile corporate memberships for industry partners, so I hope that SoR members will want to visit the new hub, see the great work of colleagues and the support from partners. And who knows, perhaps gain some inspiration to apply for a CoRIPS grant for their own research idea.”

Success stories

Projects funded by CoRIPS can be undertaken by radiographers at all stages of their careers, and can receive financial support for any research.

Bids of up to £5,000 for small projects and up to £10,000 for one larger project will be considered.

Matched funding or other institutional contributions would also be advantageous.

Applicants are reminded that the College expects patient and public involvement to be factored in from the very first stages of research proposal development.

Contribute to vital research

By becoming an industry partner of the CoRIPS programme, companies can contribute to the vital research being undertaken, and position their brand as an active partner of the College of Radiographers.

The CoRIPS Partners Knowledge Hub also provides a wealth of thought leadership and expertise from leading organisations working within the imaging and radiotherapy sector.

Visitors to the Hub will be able to access practical advice, guidance and expert opinions to stay abreast of the latest insights and expertise in the industry.

CoRIPS research wouldn’t be possible without the backing of its industry partners. Industry partners provide sponsorship which is then used to fund research projects by radiographers through the CoRIPS scheme.
