SoR releases papers from prestigious journal as part of Annual Radiotherapy Conference

Academic papers which align with topics to be discussed at ARC have been released, to showcase clinical advancements in the field

Ahead of the Annual Radiotherapy Conference this weekend, the Society of Radiographers has made available a collection of scientific papers aligning with the conference.

These papers have been “specially selected”, and aim to showcase the clinical and technological advancements across radiotherapy treatment delivery and patient care.

Highlighting the ongoing work to empower Therapeutic Radiographers through workforce development, this collection isavailable online through the Radiography journal, which is free to access for all SoR members.

'Fantastic research the profession is leading'

Charlotte Beardmore, executive director of professional policy, said: “The collection showcases the fantastic research that the profession is leading in improving care and outcomes for cancer patients, and all members are encouraged to take time to read the articles, which provide brilliant CPD.

This collection of articles is available to all through promotional access for the duration of the ARC.

Enriching and immersive environment

ARC is a two-day conference relaunching this year for the first time since 2020.

It hosts interactive panels and contemporary proffered paper sessions to provide an enriching and immersive environment for learning, meeting peers, and sharing best practice.

The conference explores a variety of topics including: clinical advancements; clinical governance; embracing technology; radiotherapy late effects; amplifying patient and carer voices; empowering individuals through workforce development; caring for our professionals; radiotherapy operational and strategic leadership; and recruitment and retention in radiotherapy.

Attendees will have the chance to hear from guest keynote speakers and to learn about the latest CoR-affiliated research.
