The latest edition of Synergy is now available for all SoR members.

January's edition features insights and updates from SoR president Tom Welton, CEO Richard Evans, executive director of professional policy Charlotte Beardmore and executive director of industrial strategy Dean Rogers. Each shares their reflections on 2024 and what their hopes for the year ahead.

Dr Laura Charlesworthand Kathryn Williamson, professional officers for the SoR, explore how apprenticeships can make the radiography workforce more diverse and accessible, as well as address the ongoing workforce crisis.

We also hear from Charlotte Beardmore again, this time updating members on the NHS England Allied Health Professional Bodies Education Reform Specification, as the programme passes the halfway mark.

Highlights this month:

  • Tom Welton: I am proud of the journey we all find ourselves on
  • Richard Evans: ‘In the face of extreme pressure our members go above and beyond for patients’
  • Here to support you: Charlotte Beardmore recaps the work of SoR
  • Dean Rogers: ‘We have to fight cynicism by being the voice of both hope and realism’
  • Radiography apprenticeships: tackling workforce shortages and increasing diversity
  • Innovation and growth: key updates and next steps
