Following a difficult and challenging period of negotiation, the Scottish Government has issued its Final Pay Offer, available here to staff side.
This offer covers the period 2022/23 and provides for a 5% increase across all agenda for change pay bands. The offer also contains non-pay elements (as detailed in the collective pay claim).
The offer obviously fails to meet the collective staff side Pay Claim, available here. As such it represents a real terms pay cut, further eroding the value of your wages. The offer represents a missed opportunity for the Scottish Government to demonstrate how it appropriately values your labour.
In terms of SoR process, the final offer will now be considered by SoR’s Scottish Council and Scottish Representatives’ Forum, with a view to making a recommendation. An indicative survey of all Scottish Agenda for Change members will then be conducted. Further details will follow shortly.
