Voting for the Society of Radiographers' UK Council election is now open.
Eligible SoR members can now cast their ballots for the London, North West and Wales representative seats, after voting opened on 5 April.
Members of the Society of Radiographers will start to receive a yellow envelope containing ballot papers from the week commencing 8 April.
Enclosed in the envelopes will be information about the members who are in the running for the position, and the SoR advises members read election statements carefully before returning the ballot paper.
Completed ballots must be received by noon on Wednesday, 24 April to be counted.
The Society has received several nominations for seats on the UK Council – it is now up to membership to decide which individual to elect for the seat they are eligible to vote on.
The elected individual will serve as a SoR company director for a minimum of three years. At the end of a term, the elected council member may stand again for a further term but it is important that other members in the region are given the opportunity either to stand for election or to nominate another member to stand. This ensures that the Council retains democratic legitimacy.
Richard Evans, SoR CEO said: “Vote for the candidate who you think has the capabilities to join our national governing body… It’s important that you have your say!”
