As part of the annual update of the ‘Guidelines for Professional Ultrasound Practice’, SCoR and British Medical Ultrasound Society (BMUS) had planned to undertake a major re-write in 2020.
Sadly, the pandemic put paid to that, as many authors are busy sonographers working on the front line dealing with the challenges of managing to keep ultrasound services running.
The 2020 update has been a light touch version, but one thing we have done is link the clinical sections to the relevant Health Education England e-Learning for Health (eLfH) modules.
Wherever there are online resources in the SCoR Image Interpretation section of the eLfH site, these have been referred to within the latest edition of the guidelines.
You can find the sessions within the document by looking for the eLfH logo and clicking on the hyperlink to the website. NHS staff can enrol using their NHS email address, if they do not already have access.
Students on UK radiography programmes can access the resources free of charge using their university email, please check with your course administrator or contact https://support.e-lfh.org.uk.
