The manual is separated into four sections. The first is setting the scene for QA, which covers terminology and equipment controls, which is a useful refresher or idea for those new to ultrasound. Images show the common faults with ultrasound probes, some of which can be easily avoided with correct handling and storage.
Section two is the QA manual with a number of quick guides and testing procedures, along with fault management and audit. Section three provides a range of test forms that can be used within departments and section four is supplementary materials including infection control and QA guidance.
For those wanting to know more about QA processes in ultrasound, this is an excellent resource and a must read for students starting out their careers in ultrasound.
