Safety Reps: Violence at Work

As the Health and Safety Executive outlines in their guidance, “Your employer has specific duties to protect you from work-related violence and aggression. This includes verbal abuse as well as physical attacks.”

This session will cover the measures employers should have in place to protect staff, including effective risk assessments and policy provision.

We are delighted to welcome Janet Newsham to deliver this session. Janet is chair of the UK Hazards Campaign and coordinator at Greater Manchester Hazards Centre which supports safety at work, advises workers on OHS issues and leads campaigning work challenging work-related injuries and disease.
